In June 2013, ICI was contracted to construct a new $19 million Wal-Mart Store in Cicero, Illinois. The store was constructed on a vacant parcel in the heavily industrial area at approximately 33rd Street and Cicero Avenue, north of Hawthorne Race Course.

The new 177,557 square foot Wal-Mart Supercenter was constructed throughout the fall and winter months and opened in the spring of 2014. The Supercenter features an easy-to-navigate layout and enhanced services to make the shopping experience more convenient to customers. At the groundbreaking, Town officials remarked on the significance of this construction project for Cicero, as it advances the progress on their Sportsman’s Park Redevelopment program. The western portion of the Sportsman’s Park Redevelopment site currently houses the recently constructed 604,145 square foot Wirtz Beverage Illinois office and distribution center. As part of the project scope, ICI also prepared two of the five surrounding outlots for future tenants.
