Over a period of three years, ICI completed 8 build-outs of Oberweis Ice Cream and Dairy Stores. Each project was approximately 2,800 square feet and was completed in under 10 weeks.
After the interior underground plumbing was installed and the demising walls erected, the concrete floors were poured and the quarry tile was placed. The stores are tied into the existing HVAC, but new ducts and returns were also installed. These are exposed in the ceilings of several of the locations, but lay-in tile was used in several as well.
The stores tie into the developments’ electrical supplies, but supplemental panels were also required to service the walk-in freezers, refrigerators, dishwashers and limited kitchen equipment. The millwork package includes ice cream sales counters as well as a service area with seating for 30 customers.
