Role

General Contractor

The ICI team is proud to have been a part of bringing the concept of Brazilian cuisine to Chicago. ICI was chosen among a myriad of general contractors in the Chicagoland area. Fogo de Chão had plans to roll-out several restaurants throughout the country and select a local contractor in each city. However, because the Chicago teaming arrangement with ICI was so successful, Fogo de Chão selected ICI for the construction on 11 more of their locations.

This particular restaurant represented a rehabilitation of a former office supply company (a combination retail and warehouse space) in the River North neighborhood.

The renovation of this 12,250 SF building included major interior as well as exterior rehabilitation. The 35- foot entrance tower houses a revolving door. The kitchen, at 3,200 SF, features a rotisserie grille; salad, meat and dessert preparation areas; and large meat and produce coolers.

The interior remodeling featured dramatic lighting, dark woods, natural polished stones and large murals depicting Brazilian Gaucho culture.
