Role

General Contractor

Serving as the client’s General Contractor, ICI completed a 7,020 SF addition constructed of pre-engineered steel and masonry to the Western Springs Public Works building. A renovation of the existing facility also took place.

The new building includes six vehicle and equipment bays, office space and conference rooms, lunch rooms and a training room. In addition, the building has janitorial and mechanical rooms as well as a mud room complete with a washer, dryer and closet space.

ICI implemented a phased construction sequence in order to allow the existing facility to remain fully operational. The original facility received exterior panels that matched the walls of the addition. Overhead doors were installed in the equipment/truck area, as well as new lighting and an updated fire alarm system.

The new addition and renovation were completed for $1,249,000.
