Campus Safety is of utmost importance at Benedictine University. In fact, the University ranked the safest campus among four-year, private universities in Illinois in 2010. As such, the University supported the creation of a state-of- the-art facility for the Campus Police Department.

Located on the first floor of the University’s new parking garage, the Police Department includes a communications center complete with campus surveillance cameras, a training room, jail cell, bookings and evidence storage, men’s and women’s locker rooms, conference spaces, offices, a sallyport and secure parking spaces for police vehicles.

The surrounding 144,000 SF parking structure was constructed of precast concrete enhanced with thin brick, acid- etched and sand-blasted elements on the exterior. Convenient access to the upper levels of the garage is provided through multiple stairwells and elevators.
