ICI broke ground on site improvements and the construction of a new Ford Dealership in Downers Grove, Illinois in October 2016. The significant project marks ICI’s first with the Packey Webb Automotive Group.

The new 54,000 square foot dealership is being constructed on a 10 acre site at the intersection of Lacey Road and Ogden Avenue.

The building’s parcel was vacant but required site contamination management as well as extensive underground detention. ICI was heavily involved throughout the preconstruction phase of the project and worked alongside ownership to prepare the cost estimates needed to secure TIF funding.

The new dealership will feature a 13,000 square foot showroom made highly visible on the well-traveled intersection due to the exterior glass curtainwall system. The dealership also will house 32 service bays and parking for 815 cars.

Interior finishes include large format floor tile throughout, custom millwork pieces and an elliptical drywall and aluminum ceiling feature with integral LED lighting.

The exterior of the building will be clad with composite metal panels; typical of the current Ford brand standards.

One of the most distinct features of the new dealership is its brand wall. The focal point design element is 36’ tall and 400’ long; and creates a bold statement as it is far larger than most Ford dealerships.

The project is targeted for completion in November 2017.
